You will be responsible for assisting with ongoing research in the field of environmental protection related activities, through:
Carrying out calibration, maintenance and repairs as required on environmental monitoring equipment in accordance with specified standards.
Assisting in the compilation of data, preparation and interpretation of reports, including computer-based records on monitoring programmes, surveys and investigations carried out by Scientific Unit and Environmental Protection Unit staff.
Undertaking environmental sampling and monitoring as required at various locations across Belfast to including the council’s North Foreshore Giant’s Park site.
Providing support and assistance to other officers in the Scientific and Environmental Protection Units in the completion of their duties and programmes of work.
